Sam Schubert

"tape drawings" by photographer Sam Schubert, who lives and works in Baltimore. I love her playful use of perspective to transform the insignificant and banal into something quite exciting indeed. See more of her work here. It's worth a look.

screen print love - patent pending industries

Patent Pending Industries is Jeff Kleinsmith and Jesse Le Doux making screen printed posters in Seattle. I've loved their work for a while, and I keep coming back to it for inspiration. The surreal imagery, their brilliant use of colour combinations and the effortless simplicity of composition all lead to these posters being completely irresistible.

black and white

Picador celebrates its 40th anniversary with the reissue of 12 modern classics. Here are a selection of the new book covers by their senior designer Neil Lang. The black and white paper-cut designs are right up my street. Amazing.
